Thank you for supporting Mt. Nebo Junior High!  We now have 39 new PTA members and raised over $700. The funds raised will be used to provide dinners for teachers during Parent Teacher Conferences, Teacher Appreciation week and grants for teachers to buy what their students need. Last year we gave $400 in teacher grants. The grants purchased books, sewing supplies a projector and much more.

We appreciate you supporting our wonderful school!

CONGRATULATIONS to DAISY RODRIGUEZ on receiving the Payson City Mayor's award. Here are some of the wonderful things her teachers have to say about her:

Daisy Rodriguez is a kind and caring person. Daisy has spent time helping students improve their English and has done it with such respect towards her peers. As I observed her help a student in my class, Daisy doesn't come across knowing everything, she comes across with a genuine attitude of simply wanting to help. When she doesn't know how to help a student, Daisy always finds how she can do a better job. Daisy never assumes to know the answer to everything, but she will always let the students know, "I don't know, but I can find out for you."

Daisy has a wonderful attitude in class and she is able to transmit her positive energy to everyone around her. Daisy is such a respectful young lady and is deserving of this great award. As part of Latinos in Action this year, I know Daisy will do an outstanding job with the elementary school aged kids. I'm extremely glad she has chosen to give back to her community by joining LIA. Sharing your talent with the next generation is going to be very rewarding.

Congratulations Daisy!

Payson Onion Days Parade Fun

Submitted by amy.ewell on

Our amazing MNJHS LIA and Student Council members particpated in the Payson Onion Days parade this week.  Students delighted parade watchers by cooling them down with a few squirts of water. (Faculty & staff members in the audience may have received a few extra squirts!)  These students exemplify leadership and dedication at MNJHS.  We were excited to help our students Be The Change and Hear The Roar!  Go MNJHS!
