A great group of our MNJHS Freshman were able to attend a University of Utah College tour on Wednesday, September 20th. The tour was led by a University Ambassador who helped our students get a feel for college life, learn more about the University of Utah, and took us on a scavenger hunt/walking tour of the beautiful campus! MNJHS Panthers are college bound!

I was born in Payson, but I moved to Albuquerque New Mexico and then to Evanston, Wyoming. I moved back to Payson in time for Junior High and then moved to Elk Ridge during my high school years. I graduated from Payson High School and then went on to BYU where I got a degree in accounting. I worked in the accounting department of a grocery chain store until I had my first child. After having 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, I began subbing when they all entered school. I started tutoring other kids at the same time. I tutored reading and some science, but mostly I tutored math from kindergarten up to college algebra and some basic calculus. While I was subbing I also worked at SHHS giving their AP tests, SAT tests, and ACT tests. I really enjoyed helping kids get their GED so they could graduate or pass other tests like the ASVAB.  I currently live in Genola with my husband and I love it there. My oldest son is married with a little girl and one on the way. My oldest daughter teaches English at Mountain View High School. My second daughter is doing elementary education at UVU and my youngest son just graduated and is on a mission in Jamaica.
