We Love Our Law Enforcement! Panther Discovery Class

Submitted by amy.ewell on

One of our MNJHS Discovery classes this year is a service oriented class called Pay It Forward.  They focus on doing humanitarian projects for other people.  One of their recent projects was to make fun police survival kits for officers to take on duty.  The kits included tissues, drinks, protein bars, and more.  Every officer got their own survival kit, including the canine officers who received dog treats. The class also made a giant poster which the school signed to remind us that law enforcement are our heroes.

Another recent project involved making 30 no-sew fleece blankets for the Children's Justice Center.  They also donated toys and crafts to entertain the children while they are away from their families.
