Brayden Munoz, an 8th grade student at Mt. Nebo Jr. High, has been nominated to receive the Payson City’s Mayor’s Award for the month of October.

One of Brayden’s teachers wrote that “Brayden is a hard worker, and is great at asking questions if he doesn’t understand something.”

“Brayden is an extremely polite young man” according to another teacher.  “He is helpful, kind, respectful and participates at all times.  He serves as a LIA (Latinos in Action) member and shows great pride in our school.”  As a LIA member, Brayden takes the opportunity to do incredible service for our school and our community.  At Mt. Nebo’s Parent Teacher conferences recently, Brayden was at the school ready to assist in taking care of small children, while the parents visited with their student’s teachers.  This past Monday, Brayden participated with activities at a Taylor Elementary School running games and helping the teachers out.  Several days a week, Brayden goes with the LIA to the elementary school and helps the teachers with tutoring the younger children.

Brayden is a hard working student who is very willing help other students get their work done.  He is always respectful and never has a negative thing to say.  You will usually find him wearing a smile as he navigates the halls of the school.  Brayden looks for extra opportunities to improve his understanding of the subject he is studying.  He isn’t willing to just do the bare minimum.

Brayden’s math teacher stated that “Brayden is a hard worker and a kind young man.  I have never seen him give anything less than his best.  He kindly helps others when he understands concepts, and is willing to ask for help from others when he needs it.  Brayden is a valuable member of the Mt. Nebo Junior High community.”

Brayden is an honor student and very service oriented.  One of the counselor’s at Mt. Nebo Jr. stated that Brayden is a tremendous young man and respectful to everyone. He was so excited the Brayden had been chosen for this award.

Brayden is one of the great students walking the halls of Mt. Nebo Junior, and we believe that he is very deserving of this award.
