SS

Hi, my name is Sarah Semadeni. I was born and raised in Logan, Utah. However, I have been living in the Southern Utah Valley area for the last 4 years. I received an associate's degree from Snow College and a Bachelor's degree from Utah Valley University. I majored in history education and social studies, with a minor in vocal performance and music. While I love listening to, learning about, and singing all different types of music, I have recently begun to specialize in Opera. When I am not singing, you can often find me reading, doing yoga, traveling, playing volleyball, horseback riding, learning something new, watching a movie, or enjoying time with friends and family. Currently, I speak Danish, but I am trying to learn Italian, French, German, and Spanish.

I am looking forward to meeting you all this coming school year! I love how learning about our past can help us understand our present and better prepare for the future! This year is going to be so much fun!

Meet Mrs. Broderick!

Broderick

Hi! My name is Mrs. Broderick. I am super excited to be at Mount Nebo Middle school this year where I will be teaching 7th grade science. Just a little about me- I graduated with my Bachelors from Utah State University and received my Master’s in Education from Western Governors University. I’ve been teaching 7th grade science the past four years in Mapleton. I love anything that has to do with science. I also enjoy being with my family, camping, boating, paddle boarding, drawing, running, playing basketball, watching football, and looking at the stars. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bolivia and taught second grade in the Dominican Republic. I was a manager at Kyoto in Provo and Dalton’s Steakhouse in Payson. I also worked with BlendTec as a nutrition advocate and taught various nutrition classes around the western states. I was a massage therapist for about 20 years and also a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym where I met my husband. We have six incredible kids.

I love all animals. We have eight chickens, two cats, and a dog (that looks more like a bear). I also have five super cute class pets that LOVE the students and can’t wait for school to start again. In class, we have a bearded dragon named Gobi, a leopard gecko named Spike, a Russian Tortoise named Rusty, a tarantula named Echo, and a corn snake named Caramel. We also have a class ‘mascot’, a skeleton named Mortimer.
