My name is Melinda Barber.  I was raised in Spanish Fork and graduated from SFHS.  I went to UVU and earned my Bachelor’s degree in School Health Education and later earned my Master’s degree in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Utah.  For nine years, I taught 8th and 9th grade health classes at Diamond Fork Jr. High.  There are four kids in my family, including me and my twin sister.  She is a police officer for Spanish Fork City, and has two kids that I can’t get enough of.  Traveling is my favorite thing to do when I’m not working or spending time with my family.  I have been to several countries in Europe and hope to go to Iceland someday.  I am so excited join the amazing students and staff and MNJHS.  My favorite thing about being in education is learning, so I am excited about all the new things I get to learn this year!
