Savannah Stinson received the Mayor Youth Recognition Award at Payson City's October City Council Meeting

Savannah is a wonderful young woman attending our school. She is always happy and she is always willing to help others. She is the kind of person that just sees what needs to be done and she goes about doing it. It is an honor knowing her.

“I would like to nominate Savannah Stinson for the Payson City Mayor Award. I have had the pleasure of getting to know this young woman over the summer and now in class. She is amazing, excelling in all that she does. She is happy, polite, hard-working and she sees what needs to be done and she just does it. Her smile brightens the whole room. She is always willing to "lend a hand" and quickly steps in to help other students and teachers in the library.”

“Savannah has a quiet, pleasant demeanor that attracts friends. While she pushes herself to do well academically, she is also kind to others and helps other students understand the material as well. If there is ever a need in class, Savannah will notice it, and volunteer to fill that need. I have been fortunate to have had Savannah as a 7th grader and as a 9th grader, and I have never been less than impressed with her dedication, kindness, or academic ability.”
