Pitch Perfect! Coach Marziale Honored By Spanish Fork High School

Ben Marziale is the son of Jim and Carol Marziale. Ben played Varsity baseball at Spanish Fork in 1992, 1993, and 1994. He was all-state in 1993 and 1994. He played in 3 state championship games at Spanish Fork. Ben was the Region MVP his senior year. He was also the captain of the wrestling team in 1993 and 1994 and Captain of the football team in 1994. He was given a full ride scholarship to the University of Utah where he started for 4 years. He played in over 200 Division one baseball game. In his 4 years at Utah he played every position on the field except first base and catcher. One of his favorite memories of his college career was during his last home game where he hit a 3 run homerun against BYU-- what a great way to end a career! He married the prettiest girl in town, Michelle Measom, they now have 5 children. Courtlyne, Carter, Cal, Caeden and Cas.

Ben has been teaching at Mt. Nebo Jr. High School for 18 years. He coaches the cross country, track, and wrestling team. He was awarded the Jr. High wrestling coach of the year and has coached his team to three championships in his five years of coaching.

Ben was honored to be able to be a part of Spanish Fork baseball game on Tuesday, April 18th and throw out the first pitch. He wants to wish the Dons good luck throughout their season
