Mt. Nebo Junior High members of the Payson and Salem Hills Marching Bands competed at the state competition on Friday, November 1st in St. George. The bands both competed in the 1A division this season and took several trophies and captions. Salem Hills received 1st in state for the first time this year and Payson came in 5th, both bands scoring in the top half of competitors. Mt. Nebo members competing with Salem Hills are Ben Cardoza (Trombone) and Evan Poulson (Bass Drum). At Payson, we have Devin Broadhead (Bass Drum), Alex Christensen (Trombone), Alex Davis (Percussion), Pamalatera Fenn (Colorguard), Sam Johnson (Percussion), David Laney (Percussion), JoLyn Paddock (Colorguard Assistant), Daniela Ramirez (Flute), and Josh Ward (Tuba).
