This year is certainly like no other as we have needed to implement additional safety measures because of the pandemic. Mrs. Wettstein teaches physical education which has many new restrictions, such as a limit to 20 students in the locker room at once. She created a system with magnets and stickers where students can visually see how many students are in the locker room without having to enter. Mrs. Jacobson teaches choir where masks and face shields are worn. Since each student was given a face shield, she had the students use stickers and markers to show their personalities and make wearing the shields more fun. Other teachers have created routines for cleaning and disinfecting by using attention-getting phrases or fun automatic timers. While the new additions have taken some getting used to, we are proud of how our teachers have accepted the challenge and used their creative genius to help our students continue to be successful.
