Today, many of our teachers have planned special lessons in order to honor and remember Patriot Day--9/11. Mrs. Barker's English language arts students read accounts from middle school and high school students who were living in New York City during 9/11. Mrs. Reber, our librarian, did some special book talks today which she shared on Instagram stories and also with Mr. McFarland's classes. Students in Ms. Van Nosdol's social studies classes also learned about the significance of the event in our country. Other discussions and presentations occurred in many other classes throughout the school. Be sure to talk to your student to have them reflect on what they learned and share your own experiences.
