Students in 8th-grade science are learning about how the structure of a wave affects its ability to be reflected, absorbed, transmitted, or refracted through various mediums. To demonstrate how sound travels the fastest through solids, Mrs. Fordiani's class filmed a domino race where the dominoes modeled the molecules of solids, liquids, and gasses. They were able to show how energy moves through the molecules by knocking over the dominoes at the same time. 

On Wednesday, January 8th, from 3:30 - 7 PM, please join us for our Discovery Showcase and Mini-Conferences. Parents and families are welcome! Popcorn will be served and tacos will be available for purchase from Street Tacos Tarricaso. Teachers will be available to meet with parents and students. Displays will be set up throughout the school highlighting our Discovery experiences that students have been participating in this year. Mt. Nebo students may earn a movie ticket for completing the Discovery Showcase Form and returning to the main office that night. In addition, this form can also be used for make-up attendance credit (2 tardies). We hope to see you all there!
