Daniela Chavez was December's recipient of the Mayor Youth Recognition Award from Payson's City Council!

"Daniela Chavez is an intelligent and helpful to students. She is always dedicated to her studies and her work is superior. She is also a great leader in class and our school, being a great example and a leader for the school and the LIA."~ Madison Stewart

"Daniela Chavez is a remarkable young woman - she sets herself apart by being proactive in her studies, always striving to do her best. She's an example to others as she welcomes and assists new students to the school. Recently, a new student was added to our class. Daniella was standing at my desk and saw as I was assigning the student a seat. She requested that I put the student by her so she could help her as she knew she spoke little English. She is willing to work with anyone. No matter which group she's in, she contributes meaningfully to the projects. I really appreciate her example." ~ Myra Miller

"I have worked with Daniela Chavez for the past two years. She always has a very happy and positive attitude and is always willing to help with anything. She is very friendly and welcoming to others and has helped orient several new students to our school. Recently I was at a conference with her where the speaker asked the students in the audience a question. No one was responding and there was a really awkward silence. Daniela raised her hand and gave a great answer. She is very sensitive to others and looks for those who need her help. She always has a smile on her face. MNJHS Celebrated the Holidays with a Fine Arts Assembly

Submitted by khristen.massic on

On Friday, December, 20th, the Mt. Nebo's Fine Arts department collaborated to bring the school an amazing assembly. Sherlock Holmes', "Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle" was this year's theme and consisted of monologues from drama students, illustrations and paintings from art students, and songs from choir, band, and orchestra students.
