Isaiah was nominated by Mrs. Nielson for helping someone when they had a problem with the vending machine. Cassidy was nominated by Mrs. Wright for being a great example to everyone.

Congratulations to our MNJHS Jazz Band for receiving a 1- at the Jazz Festival on March 29th, 2018.  The judges told Mr. Burger, our band director, that our MNJHS soloists were the best out of all the groups!

Russ was nominated by Mrs. Wright for helping a new student feel welsome at our school. Haislee was nominated by Mrs. Capell for being a good group member and class example.

Brayden was nominated by Mrs. Wright for helping take heavy boxes to Mrs. Johnson. Hanna was nominated by Mrs. Nielson for having such a sweet smile and always being happy to help us out.

Celebrate Hope Week With MNJHS, March 26-30

Next week the school will celebrate HOPE week.  We hope to create a positive and supportive environment for learning at Mt. Nebo Jr. High.  During this week, there will be theme days and some activities.  School dress code will apply for attire for theme days. 

During the week, at lunch time Monday through Thursday, students and staff may sign up to purchase doughnuts for a friend or anyone they feel could use a positive ‘pick me up.’   They will write a positive note that will go with each doughnut ordered.  On Friday afternoon, doughnuts and positive notes will be delivered by the HOPE Squad. 

  • Monday, March 26th: Hat Day 

Student are encouraged to wear their favorite hat to show school spirit.

Activity: Doughnut orders/sale at lunch times.  (One Doughnut .75 cents or two for a Dollar.) 

  • Tuesday, March 27th: Sports Day

Students are encouraged to wear their favorite team jersey.

Activity:  Piñatas at each lunch time.   

Doughnut orders/sale at lunch times.  (One Doughnut .75 cents or two for a Dollar.) 

  • Wednesday, March 28th: Disney Day

Students are encouraged wear their favorite Disney attire.

Activity:  Giant Zorb Balls outside in the school fields. (Weather Permitting)

Students who receive a positive behavior card will be able to participate in the Giant Zorb Ball activity.  Doughnut orders/sale at lunch times.  (One Doughnut .75 cents or two for a Dollar.) 

  • Thursday, March 29th: Yellow Day (The theme Color of HOPE)

Students are encouraged to wear their favorite yellow outfit.

Activity:  Prizes / and or Candy given at lunch for the best yellow outfit.   

Doughnut orders/sale at lunch times.  (One Doughnut .75 cents or two for a Dollar.) 

  • Friday, March 30th: Term 3 Movie Reward Day (for eligible students)

BYU Math Camp Registration Now Open

The BYU Math Camp is a two week event for students who are currently in grades 6-8 and who demonstrate high achievement and motivation in mathematics. Classes will be taught by BYU faculty and students.

  • Date: June 18 - June 29, 2018 Monday - Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Location: BYU campus
  • Topic: Geometry
  • Camp Director: Professor Nathan Priddis
  • Classes: The target class size is 20.
  • Tuition: $250 - includes the textbook and daily lunch at the Cannon Center.
