The Mt. Nebo Junior High science fair will be held on February 8th and 9th in the auxiliary gym.  On these dates all ninth grade Science Learning Projects (SLPs) are due.  Many ninth grade students will be attending the science fair to fulfill the SLP requirement for freshmen at our school.  7th and 8th grade students are working on a variety of science projects as well, and many will be presenting their projects at this science fair.  In addition, students in underwater robotics will also be presenting parts of their project at the fair.

On Thursday, February 8th, students can start checking in and setting their projects up from 3-5:00 p.m.  At 5:00 p.m. the judging of projects will begin.  Once a project has been judged twice the student is free to go home (leaving the project in the gym, but taking any valuables with them).  On February 9th, the science fair will be open to the public from 3-5:00 p.m.

At 5:00 p.m. Friday evening (February 9th) the awards ceremony will be held (fame, fortune, and glory) and project take down will begin.  Project winners that are going to the Nebo District Fair will receive instructions on what they need to do next.  If you have any questions please contact your student’s science teacher or Mr. Wright.
