Miss Stewart is originally from Arizona, but she came up to Utah to study at Brigham Young University. She graduated in English Teaching with a minor in Theatre Media Arts Studies, which reflects her two favorite hobbies of reading books (her favorite genres are Fantasy, YA lit, and Historical) and theatre (she performed in many musicals growing up). Miss Stewart also loves to travel; her favorite countries are Croatia, Switzerland, and Great Britain. Last year Miss Stewart was an 8th grade English teacher at Centennial Middle School in Provo, Utah. She is excited to be teaching English this year and to be a part of the Mt. Nebo team!

Hi, My name is Doni Bufton and I am so excited to be a new 8th Grade Science teacher at Mnjhs.  If I was asked to describe my self in one word, it would be passionate.  I am passionate about my family.  My husband and I have raised 4 wonderful children here in Payson.  We also have 3 grandsons and hope for more.  I am passionate about the outdoors.  Our family loves camping, hunting, and riding our side-by-side as often as possible.  I have been passionate about Boy Scouting, in which I spent 21 years in several different positions.  I am a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award.  I am Passionate about the City of Payson.  Although, I grew up in Santaquin (which I love), my husband and I have lived here our whole married lives and I currently serve on the Board of Adjustments.  Lastly, I am passionate about teaching students.  I love learning myself and creating learning opportunities for my students which will inspire and enlighten their minds so they will some day become successful contributors in our community.  I spend many hours in classes and workshops to constantly improve my teaching craft.   I have earned 2 college degrees in Drafting and Design Technology and Elementary Education. I am currently working on my secondary science and math license.  I am looking forward to working with such a great team of science teachers here at Mnjhs and I am also looking forward to meeting many new parents and students. This will be such a great year.

Mt. Nebo Jr. High will be registering all students online this year at  http://mnjhs.nebo.edu/registration.  Three days following payment and completion of the registration process, student schedules will be available to print. For 7th grade students, however, state law requires them to show proof of current immunizations before they can attend school. Once evidence of immunizations is received, you will be able to print your schedule. If you would like help with this process, we will be doing walk-in registration tomorrow, August 2 from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.  We will have computers available to take you through the process.
